Greentique Hotels - Statement of Sustainability

Greentique Hotels is committed to continuous improvement in achieving the highest possible levels of sustainability across all our hospitality and tour operations in Costa Rica. We have made a behavioral commitment by all members of the Greentique family to shape our brand responsibly in the delivery of exceptional Costa Rica experiences unique to the natural and cultural heritage of the four climate zones in which we operate.

Our mission for Santa Juana Lodge and Rural Mountain Adventure Tour and Lodge is to:

  • ·         Protect native biodiversity through conservation and stewardship
  • ·         Promote sustainable practices in hotel and tour operations
  • ·         Create local employment
  • ·         Combine nature-based adventure with rural culture in guest engagements
  • ·         Responsibly expand rural/agro tourism to support local micro-enterprises

The net proceeds from the Santa Juana Tour and the Lodge support programs in the County of Quepos, distributed through Si Como No Resort & Wildlife Refuge. In Santa Juana, you also help support area reforestation through our tree adoption program.

Other Greentique Tours help fund programs in the County of Alajuela through our Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel near San Ramon, and in the County of Osa on the Osa Peninsula, where our Aguila de Osa Rainforest & Marine Adventure Lodge supports the County Primary School of Drake Bay. Additionally, our hotel and restaurant employees donate time and materials to sustainability and educational programs in their communities.

As members of the Corcovado Foundation and Titi Conservation Alliance, we are sanctioned by the Global Giving Foundation, which provides a tax-deductible vehicle for any donations you may want to make to benefit the Santa Juana Rural Community Programs, a program supervised by the Corcovado Foundation.

On behalf of the people of the Pueblo of Santa Juana, our local staff, and the Greentique Tours Nature Guides, we sincerely thank you for your participation.
